The Implementation Plan for Land Reserve in the East Wing of the Airport-based Digital Intelligence Port in Huadu District has recently been approved.
Taking the Airport-based Digital Intelligence Port, a growth pole in the northern Guangzhou, as the core, the project will build a joint reserve mechanism in which the city will provide funds, and the District will collect and store lands, intending to systematically solves the problem of insufficient industrial space and insufficient collection funds, so as to provide continuous development space for industries in Guangzhou's airport area, and improve the level of regional industrial clusters.

It is reported that the biggest highlight of this approved plan is the adoption of the innovative "city-district joint reserve" development model. The Implementation Plan adopts the positioning idea of planning industrial platforms by centering on the airport, closely follows the regional industrial upgrading strategy, focuses on high value-added airport-based industries such as biomedicine and health, semiconductors and integrated circuits, and new energy and new energy storage, and carries out accurate industrial adaptability research, including the functional layout of the park, the satisfying of enterprise needs and the temporal planning of full life cycle development, to build a "core engine area" of airport-based industries in northern Guangzhou.
Continuous collection of neighboring lands provides a large-scale industrial land area, which will be built into an airport-based economic demonstration zone with complete industrial chain service capabilities. As the "core engine" of Guangzhou's northern growth pole, its advancement will significantly enhance regional synergy, achieve coordinated connectivity of the transportation hub network. The expressway network surrounding the start-up zone has been well-developed, with multiple high-speed routes already completed, including the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, the Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway, the Pearl River Delta Ring Expressway, the Guangzhou-Lianzhou Expressway, the Huadu-Dongguang Expressway, and Huadu Avenue, which provides access to Baiyun International Airport within 10 minutes and connects to the Guangzhou North Station comprehensive transportation hub, forming a multimodal transport system integrating "air, rail, and road.” It will strengthen the east-west industrial linkage in the northern part of Guangzhou, actively promote the District's integration into the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, further advanced the building of a new pole of industrial radiation in the northern part of the Greater Bay Area, connect the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City to the east, and drive the transformation of traditional industries and the agglomeration of new industries along the routes. It will promote the synergy and linkage of ecological elements, help integration into the ecological picture of Huadu District featuring "one bay, two belts and multiple corridors", and release important regional ecological elements such as "Dalinggu-Gangtou Ancient Village-Liuxi River", to build an "ecological smart valley" intertwined in the blue and green landscape along mountains and rivers.
